U.S. Space & Rocket Center Space Camp Operations Center

The new Space Camp Operations Center at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center is a new 42,200 square-foot building situated between the existing Educational Training Facility (ETF) Building and the HAB 1 Building on the campus of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. It includes ten new classrooms, a Mission Training Room, check-in areas, administrative support spaces, auditorium with fixed seating and operable walls for two seminar spaces, and a kitchen. The newbuilding connects back to the HAB 1 Building by means of a new covered walk way. The building is a structural steel framed structure with an elevated composite concrete deck. The exterior skin of the building consists of metal panels, exterior insulation and finish system(EIFS), and a 3D printed composite rain screen. The exterior also incorporates large format video display panels on two sides of the main entry
