Shearwater Polymers is a chemical manufacturing company specializing in the production of polyethylene glycol for support of the Biotechnical and pharmaceutical industries. This project consisted of the rehabilitation and renovation of an existing 35,000 square foot one-story office building that had been occupied by an electronics assembly group. Full interior demolition, re-insulation, re-roof, and exterior upgrades including window systems were accomplished. Services provided by Fuqua Osborn Architects were Architectural, Structural, and coordination of Design Build subcontractors for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing. Some of the unique components were special floor coatings for dyked chemical storage inside, as well as a separate building for bulk hazardous materials.
