Huntsville Museum of Art

Fuqua & Partners Architects designed this two-story, 22,014 square foot addition for the Huntsville Museum of Art located in downtown Huntsville, Alabama. The addition’s lower level includes a south entry hall, a 2,100 square foot auditorium/special events space with catering kitchen, loading dock with service elevator, a park side entrance and stage area, and 2,700 square feet of gallery space. The museum’s main level will now include four additional gallery spaces and the balcony over looking the new park side entrance. The addition will also house an information area for visitors, a special events area and balconies over looking the park. The museum’s design also includes the renovation of the existing museum building. The lower level will now include additional office space and a 1,300 square foot area for special events, as well as a children’s gallery. Additional parking spaces will be added to the area surrounding the museum, as well as a loading, shipping, and receiving drive for easy delivery.
